Ein Traum wird wahr: die VSA hat in Zusammenarbeit mit EMI Music diejenigen, die sie für die wichtigsten, besten und berührendsten Songwriter hält - mit vehementem Anspruch auf Unvollständigkeit - auf zwei CDs versammelt. Weit entfernt von jeglichem Songwriter-Kanon ist diese Zusammenstellung sozusagen eine Momentaufnahme dessen, was wichtig war, wichtig ist und wichtig sein wird (soweit sich Prognosen für vielversprechende Talente stellen lassen) im Genre Songwriting. Dass das Ganze nur eine höchst subjektive Auswahl ist, das geben wir nicht nur zu, nein, wir sind stolz darauf. Objektivität ist eine Illusion. Nichtsdestotrotz hat nicht einfach jeder seinen Lieblingssong auf den Sampler reklamiert; wir haben - hurra - ein Konzept. So finden sich auf CD 1 Perlen von Songwriter-Göttern wie Tim Buckley oder Nick Cave; CD 2 versammelt eine Auswahl von Artists, die die VSA schon einmal live vorgestellt hat, mit Live-Mitschnitten oder exklusiven Gustostückerln - von Psapp bis Ai Phoenix.

Die CD "Between the Lines - Songs from the Blue Bird Diaries" bekommt man in jedem Plattenladen (wo nicht vorrätig, kann sie bestellt werden). Online bestellen kann man sie etwa im Substance Store oder bei Recordbag.

Bei allen VSA-Events gibt es "Between the Lines" am Merchandising-Stand zum Vorzugspreis von 18 €. Im Kombipack mit "More Songs From The Blue Bird Diaries" kostet sie 35 €.
